The 14th July which is formally called La Fête nationale and commonly Le quatorze juillet has become a major public holiday, as this national day represents the first step to the French Revolution which eventually led France to Republic. From the beginning, speeches, military parades, and fireworks, along with public revelry, were part of the celebration in France. The slogan 'Vive le 14 juillet!
