Extra-Curricular Activities

Many of our students have also represented our school for inter-school elocution competitions and have won laurels for the same.

Art & Design

The Visual Arts programme @ FLAG stimulates the creative thinking faculties of our learners. It is our belief that all children are artists, and we seek to inspire their artistic expression through access to multiple forms and disciplines.
At FLAG, we strongly believe that students learn most successfully in an environment where they are encouraged to take risks, make mistakes and where the process followed is more important than the final product.
We also offer Art & Design as a formal subject in the (GCSE and AS/A Levels Program for students who plan to pursue visual arts/designing as a career post Grade 12.

Some of our recent accomplishments within the Arts (Visual / Performing / Music) are given below:

Student Council - Junior & Senior School

In this fast paced world, education is important but the ability to apply your knowledge and work with it is of greater importance. The Student Council is an integral part of learning that ensures that the students can creatively put together things that they have learnt, can confidently portray their point, brainstorm on ideas and inculcate the ability to convince the others.

Thus, Student Council which also teaches students that “authority comes with responsibility” gives the students a fair idea about execution and not just the planning aspects of the various activities.

At FLAG, we have two student council teams – Junior School (from Grade 5) and Senior School (from Grades 9,10 and 11).

The Student Council at FLAG (for both sections) is chosen through a rigorous process that involves an interview with the FLAG leadership team. This is followed by candidates canvassing in each class, delivering powerful speeches to convince their fellow school orators and teachers that they were worthy of the title they were vying for.

Our community service initiatives have won us a lot of accolades and awards over the years. The ‘extraordinary’ characteristic of our school is the range of community service initiatives that we engage in every term with students from across sections (Primary to Gr 12). Some of our recent community service initiatives are listed below:

Aarna Bafna, student of grade 6, along with a few of her friends conducted an online tutorial fundraiser .The earnings from the same was donated to KEM hospital as well as the Roti bank. Kudos to you Aarna! You truly have set a wonderful example! FLAG is truly proud of you

Kavish Shah, student of grade 6 along with his sister created tags, bookmarks etc and sold it in their building. All funds generated from the sale were used to buy essentials for the housekeeping and security staff. A Cadbury with a thank you note was also given to them for keeping us safe in such crucial times. Way to Go Kavish ! Continue spreading smiles and touching lives with your kind acts ! FLAG is proud of you !

Roti Bank

One of our marquee Community Outreach Programmes for 2019-20 that our Grade 11 students were involved in over a period of 4 months has been Roti Bank. Tons of cooked food gets thrown in the dustbin every day when 1 million people including 75,000 children in Mumbai go to bed on an empty stomach. Fazlani L'Academie Globale collaborated with Roti Bank a food rescue organization to fight the hunger crisis in our city.
Our AS level students (Grade 11) started their journey with Roti Bank by supporting the food donation drive across middle school, followed by a 5000 mega meal marathon organized on 15th August 2019. Further, they connected and networked with restaurants, banquets, hotels, caterers and corporate canteens to spread one message, "Let us aim to always help to transfer excess food to an empty plate."

Every parent and child planted their own tree. A total of 36 trees planted , which truly was the best children's day gift from a parent to their child.
