The High School Programme – Cambridge International AS & A Levels

The Cambridge International AS & A Level Program is a two year course taken by learners in Grades 11 and 12.

The AS/A Levels is a highly specialised program and a student will normally take four subjects, although occasionally exceptional students take five. The program enables students to develop in-depth knowledge & deep understanding, strong reasoning abilities and critical thinking skills. Due to these reasons, the program is very well recognised and accepted by universities around the world including leading universities in India.

The subject content of each of the A Level syllabuses has been subdivided into two parts: the AS syllabus content which is covered in the first half of the course (Grade 11), and part two of the syllabus commonly referred to as ‘A2’ covered in Grade 12. This flexible approach enables students to follow a staged assessment by taking the AS qualification in one examination session (at the end of Grade 11), and the A2 assessment in a subsequent session (at the end of Grade 12).

As part of the AS & A Levels Program,
FLAG offers the following subjects across the three subject groups:

At FLAG, besides the academic exposure that students gain through the AS/A Levels program, we have designed a life skills program that allows students to be engaged in a variety of activities. Some initiatives under this have been – Roti Bank Project, Neuro hacking Workshop, Mental Wellness Workshop, Happy Mind Fest etc.

Students who have studied French in their earlier years (IGCSE), can also opt for additional French classes in Grade 11 and then opt for the DELF examinations conducted by Alliance Francais.
