No Backpack Day

In the bustling homeroom of Grade 5 Birch, something extraordinary happened on this PYP Spirit Day.

The usual  sight of students carrying their bags early in the morning was replaced by  a much anticipated and exciting  ‘No Backpack Day.’

Recognizing the importance of self-love and the need for occasional pampering, the students proposed the idea of a special day dedicated to their well-being and creativity.

They showcased their imaginative flair and problem-solving skills, turning a simple logistical challenge into an opportunity for creative expression. They gracefully and confidently  carried their everyday supplies and stationeries into baskets, trolley bags, pillow covers, books together using a waist belt, laundry bag, buckets and even remote controlled cars. These unconventional modes added an element of whimsy and delight to the everyday routine, eliciting smiles and admiration  all around.

Through their ingenuity, they demonstrated that self-love and innovation go hand in hand, inspiring their peers to embrace their individuality and think outside the box.
