18th April is celebrated as World Heritage Day. It encourages us to celebrate cultures around the world , to bring awareness about important cultural monuments and sites, and to support the importance of preserving the world’s cultures.
At FLAG, students of Grade 7 celebrated World Heritage Day, wherein they were divided in groups to outline a part of the heritage and paint it using doodling and Jen Stark’s technique of creating colourful , sculptural works and drawings . The students then put all the pieces together and they indeed did, a fabulous job!
To reflect back on their feelings about the activity, students anecdoted them through Diary Writing. Thus understanding, that we can make as many changes we want in and around our heritage sights but we must always preserve our Heritage because we all know ‘Old is Gold’.
