Students of Grade 7 visited Forganic Farm which enabled them to gain a deeper understanding about the concept of Biodiversity in an ecosystem for conservation, restoration and how to manage the biodiversity loss due to various human activities.
This engagement further facilitated an understanding about the SDG goal 15 : Life on land. Students understood the nature around them, studied its biodiversity in an ecosystem, used their own vocabulary list to understand various parts of the ecosystem and collected samples from nature to study its characteristics through the stream and forest trail.
This learning beyond class room walls, indeed proved beneficial for our students, as they reflected, made connections and further decided to take appropriate action.
