Grades 1 to 5 students and teachers celebrated Spirit Day on Earth Day by dressing up in hues of nature and also wore earth-themed outfits that helped them to connect with the natural world and show their support for the environment.
Students of Grades 1 and 2 visited the Mazgaon Garden which was an excellent way to learn about plants and importance of them for our planet. They engaged in fun ways to get some fresh air and exercise. The students had made charts for the public there in the garden and as thinkers and communicators explained their charts and the importance of various environmental issues and ways to be responsible. They made creative bookmarks which will encourage them to read.
The Spirit Day activities helped students develop a sense of responsibility and respect for our Mother Earth and its resources, which is an important step towards creating a sustainable future.
