Today’s topic under the Soft Skills Development Program at FLAG was “Are You Ready For A Panel Talk?”Grade 11 students were grouped and the topic of discussion for the Panel 1 speakers was ‘What Are The Expectations Of The Youth From The Industry’ where as Panel 2 spoke about “What Does The Industry Expect From The Youth Today?” Our moderators, Arhaan Shaikh and Khadeer Mukadam facilitated the panel discussions by talking about the specific given topic to the panelists and audience participation. They shared trends, insights and ideas as they directed appropriate questions. The questions ranged from understanding current industry trends, the importance of soft skills & life skills and being up to date with the latest technology and innovations. Some of the suggestions for good work ethics and personal life balance were considerations along with hybrid work opportunities, annual paid vacations and so on. The students even shared their thoughts on minimum wages, and sustainable plans for small-scale industries with government support. The conclusion clearly stated that the youth expect to receive respect, equal opportunity for growth and benefits at the workplace in order to scale up and add value to the organisation they belong to.
