Timeless Games, Endless Joy: A Journey through Play and Tradition
National Sports Day transformed our Early Years into a lively celebration of PYP Spirit, where the air was filled with the echoes of laughter and the thrill of old games reborn.
Little hands clapped with excitement as they played lagori (seven stones), langdi (hopscotch) and lattu (spinning tops), rediscovering the magic of these timeless traditions.
Each game told a story of the past, weaving together history and play, as the young ones connected with the roots of our culture. The rhythmic tap of hopscotch, the spirited shouts in lagori, and the whirr of spinning tops created a symphony of fun. Teachers and students alike dressed in vibrant sports attire, adding to the festive spirit.
This day wasn’t just about sports—it was about embracing tradition, building bonds and finding joy in the simplest of moments.
