PYP Grade 5 Exhibition

“There is a powerful force unleashed when young people resolve to make a change”- Jane Goodall

This was evident as our 5th graders culminated their PYP journey through an in-depth, collaborative inquiry into Sustainable development goals. They identified and investigated different issues of their interest and passion to come up with novel solutions and take action.

The BIG IDEA was ‘We are the hope for a better and a sustainable world’.

Some highlights of the PYPx were……

Living the IB Learner Profile
Collaborating and taking Action
Showcasing the ATLs
Exhibiting the knowledge

The Eco Avengers used design thinking to create a lasting impact to advocate climate action
The Hunger Stoppers interacted with the broader learning community to make sure there is zero hunger
The Healthy Hearts group explored multiple perspectives for good health and well-being of others
The Life Savers were curious, asked questions and dived deeper to inquire about life below water
The Forest Rangers empathised and brainstormed ideas for problem solving about life on land
The Goalkeepers for equality showcased agency and made powerful decisions to reduce inequalities

Overall, the process from planning- inquiring- investigating- creating- communicating- presenting- showcasing – celebrating involved students’ voice, choice and ownership at each stage.
In true sense, together we moved a step closer to the UN Global goals !
