PYP Celebrated Bastille Day – A Taste of France!
Our Grades 3, 4, and 5 French learners celebrated Bastille Day with great enthusiasm, immersing themselves in the rich culture and traditions of France.
Our Grade 3 learners transformed their classroom into a vibrant celebration of French culture. Dressed in the colours of the French flag—blue, white, and red—they explored various aspects of France, including its delicious cuisine, iconic monuments, fashion, and popular sports. Working collaboratively in groups, they confidently presented their assigned groups, deepening their understanding of French heritage while developing their communication skills.
Our Grades 4 and 5 learners stepped out of the classroom for an authentic cultural experience at Le Pain Quotidien. They enjoyed a delightful French breakfast, sampling classic delicacies such as tartine, pain au chocolat, and mousse au chocolat, while refreshing themselves with a glass of limonade. The visit offered learners a wonderful opportunity to experience French gastronomy and café culture firsthand.
It was truly a memorable and enriching day as our young francophones celebrated France’s National Day the French way—through culture, cuisine, language, and joyful learning. Vive la France!
