The flora and fauna in the Maharashtra Nature Park is rightly known as the Green Lungs of Mumbai. It provides a very pleasant escape from the pollution-ridden life of the city. It is a fine abode to several species of flora and fauna.
Who would know that this area on which the park has been created was previously a garbage dumping ground in the seventies? We begin to wonder how so much greenery can originate close to the biggest slums of Asia. This is possible as nature lovers, conservationists and people with moral philosophy come forward to achieve goals like these.
Our little people from Grade 3 visited and supported the Maharashtra Nature Park in achieving their goal of Nature Conversation in a big way. The Maharashtra Nature Park Society expressed their gratitude towards our nature conservationists. We are proud to say that our students from this very young age are thinking beyond their walls of play and are reaching out to the world with their love, care and moral support in protecting our biological diversity as well as preventing the wasteful use of resources.
