National Sports Day

Major Dhyan Chand’s birth anniversary which falls on 29th August is celebrated as National Sports Day annually to honour his accomplishments and legacy in the game of hockey. On Tuesday at FLAG, the morning was one of  high spirits promoting sporting excellence.

The   sports team organised physical activities that paid tribute to the traditional games to spread awareness about these unique ideas and shed light on the importance of sports in our  life.

The Middle school children explored the nuances of games like gilli danda, lagori, sankli, kancha, snakes & ladders amongst many others. The Just Be Kind Club students spread the good cheer further with underprivileged children from the Next Page Foundation as they all rejoiced and bonded with each other.

The morning truly resonated with the quote “Do you know what my favourite part of the game is? Just the opportunity to play”
