Muskaan Initiative : Joy of Giving

As a part of  the Muskaan Initiative, we collaborated with the Salvation Army Aruna Shelter and wished to continue this partnership. The purpose of the trip was to offer the 13 girls –  a day of adventure, exploration and the chance to broaden their horizons.

The chosen destination ‘Nehru Science Centre’ was a nearby exploration centre, providing a serene educational setting. As the girls of the shelter eagerly boarded our school bus, their faces filled with anticipation and excitement. For most, it was their first time leaving the shelter and the journey itself became a part of the adventure.

The morning was packed with educational activities and opportunities for personal growth like the 3D science show on sphere and a space film show.

The field trip for the girls was a heartwarming experience that showcased the positive impact of community collaboration, compassion, and experiential learning. Beyond the educational aspects, it provided these girls with memories they will carry in their hearts, broadened their perspectives and demonstrated that a world of care and possibility exists beyond the walls of the shelter. It serves as a powerful reminder of the transformative power of simple acts of kindness and the profound effect they can have on the lives of those in need.
