“Today, our Grade 1 classrooms turned into living museums — where tiny hands held big pieces of history!”
As they are inquiring into the central idea:
“Generations in the past lived differently from how we live today.”
With wide eyes and curious minds, our young inquirers explored artifacts from the past — an old musical instrument, a rotary phone, a lantern, a gramophone… each object unlocking mysteries of how people once lived!
They didn’t just see the past — they touched it, questioned it, and connected it to their own lives.
“Did my grandma use this?” “How did they cook without gas?” “This phone has no screen!” — The inquiry was truly alive and echoing through time!
Because in the PYP, artifacts aren’t just old things — they are storytellers, time travellers and sparks of wonder.
A heartfelt thank you to our Grade 1 parents for opening your treasure chests of memories and sharing these priceless artifacts!
Your contributions turned curiosity into conversation and made our inquiry richer, deeper, and truly alive with history!
