Literacy Day: Let the Word Games Begin!

This Literacy Day, our classrooms turned into arenas of speed, strategy, teamwork and words and sentences! 🎯

⏱️ Grade 6: 60-Second Word Sprint

Ready, set, WRITE! Teams had just 60 seconds to come up with as many words as they could. Longer words meant more points, making every second count! A fun way to build vocabulary while putting teamwork and quick thinking to the test! 📝⚡

Grade 7: Fairy-Tale Word Ladders

Four fairy tales. Four word ladders. One goal — finish first! 🏆 Teams worked together to crack the ladders based on Goldilocks, Rapunzel, Puss in Boots, and Hansel and Gretel. A great way to celebrate literacy through stories, words and problem-solving. 📖✨

Grade 8: Bid for the Correct Sentence!

For World Literacy Day, Grade 8 students turned grammar into an exciting auction! Teams bid their points on sentences they believed were correct, testing their language skills, confidence and teamwork. When every word counts, even one wrong sentence can be a costly bid! 🏆

🌟 Because Literacy Day is all about celebrating the power of words — and what better way to do it than by learning, thinking and having fun with them! 📖💡
