Learning beyond class room walls

Exploring education beyond traditional classrooms, the students of Grade 8A ventured outside their usual learning spaces to visit Cacao Mills by Subko, a local chocolate factory nestled in the heart of our town. In a unique session, they delved into the fundamentals of thermal physics and its intriguing relationship with the art of chocolate making.

The visit not only provided insights into the different stages of chocolate production tailored to our local economy and environment but also reinforced the concept of thermal energy through a captivating demonstration on chocolate crafting. As a delightful bonus, students had the opportunity to savor various chocolate creations – an activity truly enjoyed by all.

Following this immersive experience, the students engaged in meaningful conversations, fostering collaborative learning in a relaxed environment. Over cups of hot chocolate and delectable croissants, they shared their newfound knowledge, making the entire excursion a blend of education and indulgence.
