Our grade 2 students embarked on an exciting geographical adventure to explore the diverse landforms within the bustling city of Mumbai. Through observation and exploration, they gained insights into how geographical features shape human activities and lifestyles. They were not just travellers but time-travellers, exploring the ancient whispers etched in Earth’s diverse landforms.
At Banganga, they learned about its historical significance and natural spring. Malabar Hill provided a panoramic view of the sea and insights into affluent settlements. Chowpatty Beach’s coastal location facilitates trade and recreation, being one of the favourite places of the Mumbaikars.
This outdoor experience was a great provocation as students dive deeper into their inquiry of how ‘The Earth’s physical geography has an impact on human interactions and settlements’, where every rock tells a tale and every hill shares its history.
