Kindergarteners on Earth Day 2023

Children learn as they play. Most importantly in play, children learn how to learn
-Fred Donaldson

This Earth day our kindergarteners had the opportunity to have an exhilarating, fun and experiential play based learning opportunity in the lap of mother nature.
They visited the BPT gardens to explore their natural surroundings and came up with novel solutions to make the Earth a better place to live in.

Students also engaged in rearranging, redesigning and tinkering with loose parts like flowers, leaves, twigs, seeds, grass, pebbles, etc. to create their nature inspired masterpieces – (nature wands, sun catchers, garden frames)
They ran, they swung, they laughed and had lots of fun.

A classroom outside in nature surely opens a world of possibilities for our little inquirers.
