Today, 24th January 2024 is the International Day of Education, marked by UNESCO.
This year’s theme is – Learning for lasting peace. In Grade 3, the students showed up as caring individuals wanting to make the world a better, nicer and lighter place.
From “With my peaceful heart, I will eradicate racism and poverty” to “With my peaceful heart, I will grow plants, save water and protect the planet” we got the most wonderful responses.
True education not only informs but also inspires to take action. We learn from books and people and environment and isn’t it oh so wonderful that our learning not only increases our knowledge but also opens our mind and fills our heart with the desire to be a change maker.
