The event began with a discussion on *Hickey’s Bengal Gazette*, the first Indian newspaper published on 29th January,1780 by James Augustus Hickey, highlighting its role in shaping the press.
The highlight of the day was an exciting newspaper scavenger hunt, where students worked in teams to find specific news items, including an article about animals, a comic strip featuring a pet, and more. The first team to locate all the items was declared the winner, fostering teamwork, critical thinking, and a deeper appreciation for print media.
