THE CONTRIBUTION OF GOOD NUTRITION
An informative session on the interconnected relationship between nutrition, lifestyle, health and wellbeing was conducted on Wednesday, 1st March for students across grades 6 to 9. The session was led by guest speaker Raksha Lulla who is a health nutrition advocate and conducts programs that focus on Lifestyle Coaching,Food Behavioral Therapy, Food Relationship Resolutions.
The session threw light on smart and sustainable living with the correct balance of nutrition, the benefits of being physically active for good gut & skin health, and the disadvantages of being glued to the screen while eating and obsessing over the weighing scale. Emphasis was laid on the relationship between sleep and growth hormones for better cognitive skills as well as how our emotional well being affects our eating habits.
Students engaged in an interactive session whereby all their related concerns & queries were answered and the quote ‘health is wealth’ was reinforced as a takeaway for all present
