Our students of grades 8 and 9 at FLAG created lasting impressions and connections on their visit to Japan- the land of the rising sun in the month of February.
The tour offered them a plethora of experiences as they traversed across the scenic island nation while witnessing the innovations of the world leader in technology.
Learning and fun go hand in hand as our young tourists rejoiced at the Studios and Disneyland ,explored the city of Tokyo soaking in the rich heritage of historical monuments and the natural beauty of Owakudani Valley. They also explored the environment with a Cruise on Lake Ashi and a drive to Mt. Fuji 4th Station. The experiential learnings included a visit to Nara city for the deer feeding activity ,participating in the robotics workshop amongst other activities. The trip would of course be incomplete without the shopping excursions to bring home mementos for keeps.
We are certain that this cultural immersion not only enhanced their awareness of global perspectives and cross-cultural understanding but also nurtured one of the most essential life skills, independence and adaptability, which we hope will shape their future choices
Rightly said, the world is a classroom and the best education in life is travelling!
