The students of grade 9 along with their language teachers of Fazlani L’Academie Globale hosted a fusion of French and Indian delicacies on Wednesday, 7th September. The food festival was aptly named ‘A Savoureux Jugalbandi’ meaning a flavorful faceoff as each of the seven stalls displayed food items native to France and India.
The line up of the banners on each stall together read as ’FLAG FUN’ and there was a combination of sweet and savoury items at every stall. All of these were prepared and served by the students and teachers. The food items were very delicious and the crowd could be seen relishing and enjoying themselves. Within a couple of hours every stall was sold out and a whooping collection was made in total. The intention behind this event was to share the total proceeds with the National Association for the Blind (NAB).
All in all it was a great learning experience wherein students experienced hands-on culinary skills,money managing,marketing & sales and ICT skills using French and Hindi as the medium of communication as they teamed up together for a social cause.
