Grade 9 Biology students visit to the Colaba sewage treatment plant

Grade 9 Biology students of Fazlani L’Academie Globale had an informative visit to the Colaba sewage treatment plant. They witnessed firsthand the step-by-step process of recycling sewage water through screening, sequential batch reactor, sedimentation, and chlorination. It was eye-opening for the students to see how sewage water can be treated and reused for gardening and car washing, as well as supplied to nearby parks and construction sites. Despite being a sewage plant, the facility was impressively clean and well-maintained. The students were appreciative of the government’s initiative to keep our city sustainable by recycling and reusing sewage water. A truly enriching experience for all involved.
