Grade 8 -Declamation competition

Declamation Speech Contest @ FLAG

Social Media, Gender Equality, Child Trafficking, such were a few of the chosen speech topics by the grade 8 participants for their Declamation Competition that was held on Wednesday, 23rd  Feb 2022.

Our judge for the day was Dr Meera Mahadevan, who has 35 years of experience in the education vertical. Dr Mahadevan was completely baffled by our students who showcased strong public speaking, oratory and articulation skills. Students’ intonation levels, body language and emotions were beautifully braced up by their passionate speeches. Our participants once again out did themselves as they displayed fundamental techniques of delivering speeches in front of a large audience.

The winners of the Declamation Competition 2022 were a group of well deserved talented students. The first place was bagged by Ruqaiya Neemuchwala for her speech on Social Media. The second place was given to Amatullah Vaglawala for her topic World Peace and there was a strong tie between Sakina Mandsaurwala for her speech on Child Trafficking and Navya Bafna for her speech topic on  Gender Bias.

The entire program was held at the school campus which was encouraged & supported by the presence of our grade 8 parents and the FLAG teaching community.
