A 4 nights 5 day educational trip for students of Grade 7 to Kerala (Cochin / Munnar / Alleppey) was organised for the students from 12th February to 16th February of Fazlani L’Academie Globale.
Bearing in mind the units of science & geography and to further take the learning outside the classroom, students visited the Mattupetty Dam, a concrete gravity dam in the mountains of Kerala near Munnar,where they got first-hand experience on the production of Hydroelectricity. They learnt about the conversion of energy that strengthened the concepts of renewable and clean sources of energy and empathy towards our natural resources.
The unique geographical features and the rich cultural heritage of Kerala helped our students to understand about the ecotourism initiatives by creating job opportunities for its local community,contributing positively towards its natural and cultural environments thereby providing a clarity on why Kerala is one of the most sought after tourist destinations in Asia.
All in all it was a learning cum leisure trip for our students.
