Switching the environment and bringing students into the real world sparks interest through an informal way of ‘learning by doing’ triggering a passion that may not stem from familiar comforts. Keeping this in mind our students of grade 6 visited Jaipur & Ranthambore in February 2024 to explore the units of Geography and Science.
At the Jantar Mantar they indulged in activities that challenged their skills that further provided insights on astronomy. They experienced new places ,local forms of transport as they acquainted themselves with the culture and the magnificent interiors of Jaipur that offered a dynamic perspective about the Rajput History.
In Ranthambore the safari rides enabled the students to expand their tacit knowledge. They relished the traditional Rajasthani food and shopped for souvenirs from the local markets where they met new people and observed new cultures. The trip surely had a profound impact on their personal growth and confidence and thus it is truly said, “Not all classrooms have four walls.”
