As part of the Guest speaker series, FLAG invited Ms Sakina Patrawala, a registered dietician and sports nutritionist, also the founder of Zeal Wellness Center.
She addressed the students of grades 6 and 7 on the importance of healthy eating habits.
As a consultant, she emphasized on all the aspects of staying healthy not only physically but emotionally and socially as well.
Our students learnt about the Cycle of Health and diet plans which will help them boost their immunity and keep them fit. Her diet chart included all the nutrients for a balanced diet and the ideas shared were doable with minimum changes. The diet included alternatives for vegetarians and non vegetarians.
Students were indeed curious and this was evident with the various questions they asked the nutritionist that further enabled them clear their misconceptions about dieting and intermittent fasting.
It was truly an enriching start to the week with some healthy tips and take aways.
