A delegation of 10 students from Fazlani L’Academie Globale attended the I.I.M.U.N’s (India’s International Movement to Unite Nations) Championship Conference at the Amby Valley from 15th – 18th August.
Founded by Rishabh Shah, the event was a marathon of stimulating cerebral panel discussions, exciting musical and dance performances and motivational speeches on various topics by dignitaries from across the globe that included ambassadors, national armed forces, performing and literary arts, spirituality, sports etc.
The students further experienced the simulation of the Model United Nations but through the Indian lens by representing Indian parliament and multilateral organisations. The committee sessions enabled them to articulate their thoughts and develop their research abilities that includes the genesis, history, current affairs and important personalities of the country they represented.
The platform opened a plethora of opportunities for our young learners to network and interact with peers from other schools and stalwarts from different walks of life. Each minute served to kindle the spirit of patriotism while gearing them to be glocal leaders with the Indian ethos and international mindset.
Hosting a strength of 220 cities from India and across 35 countries, the young delegates competed for the BEST MUN school trophy.
It was a moment of pride for us as Umar Sarigat (Gr 10) was recognised as the BEST DELEGATE in the Midnight Crisis Committee.
Truly, a movement that lives up to its motto ‘of the youth, for the youth,by the youth’.
