The assembly was devoted to strengthening and fostering the ideals of peace for self, our community and the world at large.An aura of serenity flowed through the school as the entire faculty was seen wearing white, symbolising and spreading the message of peace as they united in singing the PEACE Song with candles signifying hope.
The students then led a march with slogans and quotes by leaders who have strived for institutionalising the essence of peace at large.
The speech and the honours conducted by the Secretary- General of the United Nations, Mr.Antonio Guterres on world peace day was presented through a video.
This was followed by visions of the crisis in Ukraine , glimpses of the impact of racism thereby emphasising on ‘wage peace ,not war’.
The values of restructuring humanity and measures of inclusiveness, wellbeing and happiness were also expressed through these presentations.
The afternoon ended with everyone present taking the Peace Pledge together and an unspoken feeling to heal the world and make it a better place was unanimously wished by all present.
