Exploring Nature’s Classroom: A Rainy Day Adventure at Maharashtra Nature Park

Grade 3 students visited Maharashtra Nature Park and had a rainy day adventure. From exploring an exciting nature trail to gaining bird watching tips, they immersed themselves into learning about the environment. The students observed the Mithi river and gathered information about water harvesting as part of their inquiry. They learned about a plant named Fish Poison and about various types of butterflies. Grade 3 explorers turned a monsoon morning into an opportunity to gain information about water and all things related to the magical world of plants.

The best way to learn about the environment is by immersing yourself in it and that’s what the students did. They observed the patterns on the leaves and the wings of the butterflies and the colour of the water bodies. They took a look at the water pollution around them and vowed to never throw trash in water. Here’s to learning by observing and taking the necessary action to make the planet a better place.
