Grade 8 students took centre stage and organized Bastille Day celebrations for the middle school students by immersing themselves in the history and culture of France. Together they explored the significance of this day, marking the storming of the Bastille in 1789 and the start of the French Revolution.
The session ended with a summarized poem on the revolution, capturing its essence of liberty, equality, and fraternity. To add a fun element , the audience was quizzed on France’s culture and its role in the Olympics. It was a day of learning and celebration, sparking enthusiasm and appreciation for France’s rich heritage.
