The Spell Bee competition for the students across grades 6,7 and 8 at the Fazlani L’Academie Globale kicked off with preliminary rounds leading to the finale that was held on Friday 31st March.
With a clear aim to enrich vocabulary and to understand the relationship between words and to enhance reading comprehension, the FLAG teaching team coordinating the event nailed it to a tee.
The finalists from each grade were pitted against one another and emphasis was laid on the format of ‘pronounce/ spell /pronounce’ with clear guidelines that enabled participants to eliminate the competitors and move ahead with increasingly challenging levels. The winners along with all our young participants were awarded with certificates in the spirit of healthy competition.
It was a literary treat for the audience as the participants left everyone awestruck with their un ‘bee’lievable prowess for spellings.
