National Science Day @Flag

National Science Day was celebrated by the students of Grade 6 to 8 with great zeal and zest to mark the discovery of Raman’s Effect in 1928 by Indian Physicist C V Raman.

The day’s celebration included activities like sharing Information on STEM by our honourable Guest Speaker “Ms Ritu Wason” who gave an insight into the latest trends in the field of Science and Technology

The Science team presented various fact and fiction questions to enhance and further gauge students’ knowledge based on Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Further, “What If “style questions were also put forward to enhance students’ logical thinking and they indeed came up with some creative responses. Students played games like Tug of War, Shuttle run and Balancing, which facilitated an understanding of the scientific approach towards the areas of physiological and psychological sports science.

In addition, to help increase interest and enthusiasm in student minds, this day ended with a playful activity of Antakshri where the core concepts of science were identified using various songs.

The celebration of National Science Day left a sense of scientific approach towards the application of science in a student’s day to day life.
