To commemorate Women’s Equality Day , celebrated annually on August 26 which marks the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution giving women the constitutional right to vote, our grade 8 students engaged in a battle of wits on the topic of ‘Toys, Subjects and Career Paths Should Not Be Labelled by Gender’
This Interclass debate competition enabled the participants to explore the topic that threw light on the fact that ‘Equality is not an advantage and everyone is entitled to the same opportunities in life’.
From the inspiring and thought provoking speeches to the very unique perspectives that came forth in the rebuttal round, all the participants showcased confidence, clarity, deep insights and above all a respectful spirit of the debate.
