Our Grade 7 students honoured the extraordinary life and legacy of Nelson Mandela through meaningful learning experiences that celebrated courage, compassion and service.
As part of English, students designed superheroes inspired by Mandela’s values and began crafting imaginative narratives that highlight empathy, resilience and the courage to stand up for what is right.
In History, they explored Nelson Mandela’s remarkable journey by sequencing key milestones from his life and transforming their learning into beautifully illustrated timelines, gaining a deeper appreciation of his enduring legacy.
To commemorate Mandela’s 67 years of public service, Grade 7 students partnered with Grade 6 to create 67 Thank You Notes, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the people who make a positive difference in their lives. Delivering these notes was a powerful reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can create lasting impact.
Through creativity, collaboration and gratitude, our students discovered that true leadership begins with empathy—and that each of us has the power to make a positive difference.
