When art and mathematics combine

When art and mathematics combine , students’ skills and learning shines !!!

Calculating the surface area of prisms (cube, cuboid & triangular prism).

Through a hands-on activity, students of grade 8  created prisms by cutting, folding, and assembling nets.

They measured dimensions, calculated individual face areas, and combined them to find the total surface area.
This interactive approach strengthened conceptual understanding and showed how formulas are derived, not just memorized.
