The Grade 11 students of Fazlani L’Academie Globale began their most anticipated trip to Spain and Germany on February 18,with arrival in Barcelona, brimming with excitement.
Staying in La Rambla,we kicked off our adventure with a thrilling two-hour Segway tour, exploring Port Vell and Parc de la Ciutadella and dining at Hard Rock Café before heading back to rest.
The next day, we split into groups to cook four traditional Spanish dishes, which we relished together. Later, we explored Barcelona’s graffiti scene, delving into its history and even trying our hand at painting a wall.
The visit to the Barcelona Stock Exchange on day three, enabled us to gain an insight into stocks and investing. After lunch, a lively Spanish class helped us pick up basic phrases through engaging activities.
Our final day in Spain was packed with adrenaline-filled experiences at an adventure park, followed by a visit to the breathtaking Basilica De La Sagrada Familia.
At our next destination Munich our first stop was the BMW Museum, where we admired an impressive collection of cars spanning across decades. Climbing onto the rooftop of the Olympiastadion and soaking in the stunning city view was a breathtaking moment for all of us.
The highlight of our time in Germany was a trip to Zugspitze, the country’s highest peak. Despite the freezing -6°C temperature, we engaged in snowball fights ending with a scenic cogwheel train ride down.
As we bid farewell to Germany we realised that this tour was one that offered us the flight to explore the world beyond our shores and return to our roots enriched with lifelong experiences.
