FLAG’s 16th Annual Sports Day for our PYP, Middle and High School students that was held on a clear morning of Sunday, 2nd February at the Priyadarshini Park witnessed the disciplines of sportsmanship that define individual character and collaborative spirit while teaching us what it feels like to lose and win!
The event was graced by Mr. Paras Patil Basketball champion, having represented the country and currently a Coach for National level players and Mrs. Shaheen Kagalwala, parent of our Sports Captain along with our Academic Director Sir Hosh.
The morning flagged off with the March Past ceremony led by the student council members,with each squad matching their steps as they saluted the Chief Guests.Followed by the flag hoisting and oath taking ceremony, the sports meet was declared open.
Healthy competition and camaraderie was evident in the athletic races and relays,as the scoreboard kept moving numbers with each win for the respective houses.
Sun flushed and high on energy the tug of war was the finale to the morning,before the declaration of results. Alongwith awarding individual championships, the Navigators (yellow house) were positioned at first place in the March Past, while the Challengers(Red House) took home the Trophy for overall top scores.
Our teachers and parents also ensured to test their stamina in the races that added to the spirit of participation. Like each year,our student once again proved that “We don’t want to tell our dreams, we want to show them”
