14th July - Grade 6 to Grade 8 celebrated Bastille Day

Bastille Day which is celebrated on July 14 is the French national day and the most important bank holiday in France! Setting the storming of the Bastille in 1789 as an essential part of the French History. The 14th July which is formally called La Fête nationale and commonly Le quatorze juillet has become a major public holiday, as this national day represents the first step to the French Revolution which eventually led France to Republic. From the beginning, speeches, military parades, and fireworks, along with public revelry, were part of the celebration in France. The slogan 'Vive le 14 juillet! ('Long live the 14th of July!') has continued to be associated with the day.

This year for the Bastille day celebration Grade 6 had a drawing competition on the theme 'Representation of France'. Grade 7 had an activity where they taught 'Basic French' to the Middle School Teachers. Finally Grade 8 had a quiz competition on France.

26th April - Grade 9 invite students of Mumbai Mobile Creches (MMC) to FLAG

On Wednesday, 26th April 2017, Grade 9 students took an initiative to invite the students of Mumbai Mobile Creches (MMC) to FLAG. MMC students were kept engaged with activities filled with Art and Games. The day ended on a positive note, as the funds collected from the Food Fiesta Event allowed Grade 9 students to purchase Health Hygiene Kits for the under privileged children of MMC. 11th April - Grade 9 - Food Festival

On Tuesday, 11th April 2017 students of IGCSE (Grade 9) has organised food festival at FLAG. This day was planned for all our Middle School (Grade 6 to 8) students. Funds collected through the above festival, will be donated to the underprivileged children of Mumbai Mobile Creche. Click here to view the pictures from the event.

25th - 31st March - Grade 9 - Singapore Trip

This Year FLAG students of Grade 9 went to Singapore for a Trip of 5 nights and 6 days. This trip was organised by EduYatra. The Students visited various places such as City Scapes of Singapore – Workshop and exhibition visits, Singapore Night Safari, Universal studios, Jurong Bird Park, Sky Green etc. This educational Trip left the students with New Skills and fond memories. 17th March - Grade 6 - Visit NGO Teach for India

On Friday, 17th March 2017 - Grade 6, students got an opportunity to visit an NGO called, Teach for India. FLAG students in collaboration with Teach for India NGO, children took part in Baking Workshop which was led by Chef Diksha Mukhi. Click here to view the pictures from the trip.

14th March - Grade 7 - Visit NGO Jai Vakeel

On Tuesday, 14th March 2017, a visit to an NGO called Jaivakeel, was organised for Grade 7 students wherein, they got an opportunity to celebrate the festival of colours, 'Holi' by engaging in T-Shirt painting activity in collaboration with the students of Jaivakeel. 22nd - 26th February - Grade 8 - Chennai

This year FLAG students of Grade 8 went to Chennai, Pondicherry & Mahabalipuram for a trip of 4 nights and 5 days. This Trip has been planned keeping our present units in History, Geography and Science in mind. The students visited various places such as Autroville, Aurobindo Ashram, Handmade Paper factory Museum, Botanical Garden & Aquarium,Mahabalipuram and many more places. This educational trip left the students with new skills and fond memories.

22nd - 26th February - Grade 7 - Jodhpur and Jaisalmer

This year FLAG students of Grade 7 went to Jodhpur & Jaisalmer for a trip of 4 nights and 5 days. This trip was organised by 'Adventure Tours'. This Trip was been planned keeping our present units in History, Geography and Science in mind. The students visited various places such as Umaid Bhawan, Gaddi Sagar Lake for boating, viewed the puppet show – Rajasthani Culture, Jaisalmer Fort and many more places. This educational trip left the students with new skills and fond memories.

22nd - 26th February - Grade 6 - INME

Students of Grade 6 went to Yercaud with 'INME an organisation which specialises in adventure activities. This was an enclosed site in the wilderness in Tamil Nadu which had various obstacle courses within.

The students did various activities such as high rope and low rope obstacle courses and played games such as 'Helter Skelter which required teamwork, strategising and coordination. They also went for hikes, allowing the students to appreciate the beauty of nature. A special Talent night and camp fun activities were included in this 5 day trip which allowed space for exploration and adventure on this trip. It was an exciting outing which left students with special memories.

13th February - Well done Armaan!

Armaan Adenwala of Fazlani L'Academie Globale represented the school at NISSAN Manchester United Camp held in Bangalore under Manchester Coaches. The selection held in Mumbai for Soccer (west zone) was amongst 300 children from various states that participated. From these 300, only 5 children were selected for the Manchester United Training camp and Armaan Adenwala was one of them from FLAG.

18th January - Annual Spell Bee Competition

Fazlani L'Academie Globale hosted its Annual Spell Bee Competition this year on the 18th of January, 2017. The competition was held amidst much enthusiasm and cheer for all the Grades from 6 to 8. It was mandatory for every student to participate in the preliminary round and five finalists from each grade were chosen to partake in the finals. A thorough orientation was done by the English teachers before the event in the format of the competition.

20th November - Kenisha, Neel smash records

Kenisha Gupta and Neel Roy smashed five meet records between them to steal the opening day's honours, in the 39th Bombay YMCA Inter School & Junior College Aquatic Championship, at the YMCA Swimming Pool, Mumbai Central on Sunday.

Thirteen-year-old Kenisha, of Fazlani L'Academie Globale, Mazagaon set three new marks while helping herself to five gold and the girls under-15 individual championship with a tally of 20 points. Back from her recent training stint in the US, Kenisha, the fastest swimmer in the Junior Nationals recently, shattered marks in the 100m freestyle, breaststroke and 200m individual medley to add to her plethora of gold and records this season.

'My training in the US and with coach Yogesh Sir at Otters Club has made a huge impact in my performances' explained Kenisha, who also won the under-15 individual championship at the South Asian Aquatic Championship in Colombo while bagging four individual and an equal number of relay gold for India in her maiden international meet.

Arjunveer Gupta picked up championship under 11 with 3 golds and a bronze.

Kenisha also picked up the runners up girls trophy for Fazlani L'Academie Globale. So she gets her individual as well as girls overall championship.

26th October - Well done Kenisha!

Investiture Ceremony which was held on 29th August 2016, Monday. The election of the Student council is an event which is eagerly awaited by the students. This year the campaigning began on the 22nd July. After canvassing speeches on 19th August 2016, posters and promises, students cast their vote through the secret ballot system on 22nd August 2016. The results of the 8th student Council Elections for the academic year 2016-2017 were declared on 22nd August 2016. The investiture ceremony was held in school and the new team was sworn in. 27th August - Monsoon Adventure Camp

The students of FLAG from Grade 10 visited Della Adventure Park (near Lonavla) on 27th August. The students enjoyed the following activities like Artificial Rock Climbing, Vertical/Low Rope Challenging Balancing Plank, Mountain Cycling, Bubble Soccer and more. 19th & 26th August - Monsoon Trek

The students of FLAG from Grade 6-9 visited Durshet Forest Lodge (near Khopoli) for the the Monsoon Trek on the 19th and 26th of August respectively. The students enjoyed the following activities like Zip Line, Laddering, Rice Planting,Tug of war (Mud Fighting), Team games, Burma Bridge, Tarzan Swing, etc. The Trek ended with students enjoying a dip in the hotel pool, followed by a lavish buffet meal. 23rd August - English Elocution Competition

The English Elocution Competition for Grades 6 to 8 was held on Tuesday, 23rd August 2016. The students who were interested in participating for the same gave auditions to be a part of the final round. The topics include, My Inspiration to Animals being wild or Tamed, Living in 21st Century and personal opinions on what makes a good TV show and Bullying. The commitment and participation of the students was enthralling and commendable.

23rd August - Junior KG Writing Workshop

Writing is a form of expression to be enjoyed!

15th August - Independence Day

Independence Day at FLAG was celebrated amongst great pomp, pride and splendour on the 15th of August. Our principal, Ms. Linda Shaw and our sports director, Mr. Pawaskar unfurled the national flag followed by a ceremony and a programme hosted by the students to commemorate the significance of this day. 5th August - Friendship Day

Friendship Day was celebrated at FLAG on Friday, 5th August. Special activities were planned on this day to highlight the importance of Friendship. 14th March - English Elocution Competition

The English Elocution Competition for Grades 6 to 9 was held on Monday, 14th March, 2016. The students who were interested in participating for the same gave auditions to be a part of the final round. The topics covered a plethora of issues from chocolates to having a role model, from use of cell phones in school and asking grownups to reminiscent their childhood days. Grade 8 tried their hand at persuading the audience through Declamations whereas Grade 9 spoke about Global Education, 'The only true risk is not taking one', and 'Fight for what you love'. The commitment and participation of the students was enthralling and commendable.

18th December - FLAG's 9th Annual Show

FLAG's 9th Annual Show held on 18th December, 2015, saw students across Grades 6 to 12 script, direct and act 4 different plays based on the theme 'Taglines- the lines you remember'. 9th December - Kenisha bags four Gold

Kenisha Gupta of Fazlani L'Academie Globale, fought off the challenge with Anya Tyagi of Hiranandani Foundation, Powai and Jispa Doshi of Dhirubhai Ambani International en route to winning gold in the girls Under-13 100m freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and 200m individual medley and added the butterfly silver with Tyagi taking the gold.

11th November - Annual Athletic Meet

16th October - Art Competition at Singapore International School

Seven creative minds from Grade 10 participated in the recently held Art competition at SIS Dahisar which was held on October 16, 2015. Three students each participated in 3 different Events like Online Art, Visual Display and Cartooning. The Topic for all was Identity. All the pupils did an amazing and skilful job and we are proud to say that two students, Krisha Gogri and Khushi Bhatia (Grade 9) Won the 1st Position in Visual Display (Junior) and Kyra Marshall (Grade 11-IBDP-1) won the 3rd Position in Visual Display (Seniors) and Aariya Shah (Grade 8) won the 3rd Position in Online Art. 15th October - No Bag Day

On 15th October, 2015 the school observed a No Bag Day to celebrate Dr. A.P.J.Kalam's birth anniversary. The students enjoyed a day of interactive learning and reading. Our young leaders donated books to the school library, Muktangan and MMC (NGO). Click here to view the pictures of the event.

13th - 15th October - Aquasail Youth Sailing Foundation

Fazlani L'Academie Globale organised a certified sailing camp from 13 October 2015 to 15 October 2015 in collaboration with Aquasail Youth Sailing Foundation (AYSF) to Mandwa (Alibaug) for the students of Grade 10.

The camp enabled students to confidently and independently sail a dinghy or windsurf. The main aim of this sailing camp was to develop High Levels of self confidence, self esteem and team work. Click here to view the pictures of the event.

7th October - 9th Annual Day

Based on the theme 'India', FLAG's 9th Annual Day was celebrated with children performing dances, rap, radio jockey acts and enacting plays. Performances covered a variety of aspects that make India incredible such as our soldier heroes, cricket, frenzy, Bollywood, languages and a variety of cultural traditions. 14th September - Hindi Divas

On the 14th of September, Hindi Divas is celebrated all over INDIA, as it was this day in 1949 when Hindi was accepted as the official language of the Indian Union by the Constituent Assembly. This day is celebrated with zeal and fervour every year @ FLAG. This Year we celebrated Hindi Divas for one entire week wherein the students participated under different competition such as Writing Competition (Lekhan Pratiyogita), Personality Contest (Vesh Bhusha), Inter-House Singing Competition (Gayan Pratiyogita), Speech competition (Bhashan Pratiyogita). 11th September - Game Jam

FLAG students of Grades 9 and 10 participated in a competition called 'Game Jam', wherein they were seen developing, planning,designing and creating a game within a short span of time. The Theme for the game was Rain and Cloud.

More than 95 schools participated for this competition and we are proud to announce that our students stood second and won silver medals, participation certificates and a trophy.

4th September - Teachers Day @ FLAG

Sometimes firm, sometimes fun and sometimes a disciplinarian—teachers are the people who make us believe in ourselves. They are the people who inspire us to be better human beings and do the best we could possibly do in everything we try.

28th August - Lakhme Fashion Week

This Year we introduced a new activity for our Grade 9 students – Make-Up and Grooming. As part of this activity students attended the recently held 'Lakme Fashion Week' on 28th Aug, 2015 and visited the show by designers Ankur Modi and Priyanka Modi.

The students got an insight into this industry, interacted with models, designers and choreographers. This visit enabled our student pick up different styling and makeup references. Click here to view the pictures of the event.

17th - 21st August - Monsoon Trek

The students of Fazlani from Grade 6-10 visited Igatpuri for the the Monsoon Trek on the 17th and 21st of August respectively. The students enjoyed the drive to the dam which was a picturesque spot with lush vegetation and majestic rocks formed by the river that ran through it. Following that, the students enjoyed some adventurous activities like rock climbing, Burma bridge, commando bridge and other rope activities situated at different levels which targeted all the age groups in mind. 20th - 26th July - Mumbai Badminton Championship

Samiaa Shah of Grade 9A, has made us proud by participating in the greater Mumbai Badminton Championship. She stood at the second position under district level and achieved certificates for Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19 Categories.

11th - 19th July - 32nd Sub Junior National Swimming Championship

At the 32nd Sub Junior National Swimming Championship held in Pune, a student of Fazlani L'Academie Globale, Kenisha Gupta from Grade 7A, made us proud as she picked up 4 individual Golds, one relay gold and one relay silver, hence picking up the championship under 12.

From the beginning, speeches, military parades, and fireworks, along with public revelry, were part of the celebration in France. The slogan "Vive le 14 juillet!" ("Long live the 14th of July!") has continued to be associated with the day.

The students of Fazlani L'Academie Globale had prepared a beautiful PPT along with the French national anthem on the Bastille Day. A small quiz was organised for the students based on the PPT. 12th February - FPAC 2015

Childhood memories of a circus come back each time we think about FPAC 2015. The FPAC 2015 treated students to a circus joyride with different games and delicious treats in store at the variety of stalls put up by the parents.

The Happiness Parade with clowns, stilt walkers, jugglers etc won the hearts of our little guests from the Akanksha School. FPAC also joined hands with Make - A - Wish Foundation to fulfill wishes of children who are terminally ill and undergoing treatment.

It was a proud moment for the Parent Community as another year of goodwill and PYP Action came to a close. For pictures click here!

6th January - Boys from Grade 6 of FLAG participate in a rally

Boys from Grade 6 participated in a rally organised by the Dongri Police, Mumbai on January 6, 2015. The aim of the rally was to spread a message to the Mumbaikars to contribute towards Incredible India with respect to the following:

  • Keep the City Clean
  • Unity in Diversity
  • Human Rights
  • Respect Women
  • Be Responsible Citizens

    20th December - Joyous Christmas celebrations at FLAG

    This Christmas FLAG witnessed plenty of decorations and gifts to set the mood!
    Children of Grade 4, ushered in the spirit of Christmas by melodiously singing Silent Night, Joy to the World, Jingle Bells Rock, Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is coming and finally the evergreen Jingle Bells. A tableaux depicting the birth of Jesus Christ was presented by our tiny tots from Senior KG. Santa Claus marked his presence by giving gifts to the pre-primary children after the Christmas party.
    While pre-primary enjoyed the presence of Santa and were overwhelmed by the gifts; Grades 3,4 and 5 participated in the Tree-mendously Cool Christmas Decor Challenge. It was a day of fun and frolic for the kids making Christmas merrier than it always is! Click here to view the pictures.

    11th - 12th December - Alibaug Trip

    Grade 5 enjoyed a 2 day trip to Alibaug, where they watched demonstrations on sand sculpturing and learnt 3 innovative ways to build lovely sculptures.     17th September - District Sports Office (DSO) Baseball Tournament

    The District Sports Office (DSO) Baseball Tournament was held on 17th September 2014. It witnessed the U-14 (Boys) and the U-17 (Boys) from Fazlani L'Académie Globale participate. Playing and competing with the 7 times in a row winners of Balmohan Vidya Mandir School, the U-14 FLAGites kicked its way to the finals, holding the winning championship trophy at the end of the match.     The PYP Student Council Investiture Ceremony was held in FLAG on 11th Sept, 2014. The PYP Student Council is an integral part of learning that ensures that the students can creatively put together things that they have learnt, can confidently portray their point, brainstorm on ideas and inculcate the ability to convince the others.

    14th August - PYP Independence Day Celebrations

    PYP Independence Day celebrations this year included children coming dressed as freedom fighters and commandos, who melodiously sang the national anthem, participated in a quick open general knowledge quiz, performed dances, skits and narrated speeches in their home rooms. But is that all?

    The PYP students went a step beyond their classroom boundaries and launched 'Operation Gratitude' under the leadership of the Student Council members our children set on a humble mission to express their gratitude and appreciation for the policemen who sacrifice themselves for the betterment of the country.

    The appreciation cards made by the children have been forwarded to police stations, so while the police does their duty this year to keep us safe, we have done ours by bringing a smile on their face!

    23rd January - Art Competition for Grade 5 Students

    We would like to convey a big thank you to Mr. Sandeep G. Dal, Senior Inspector of Police for personally felicitating winners of the police initiated art competition for children of Grade 5. This art competition conducted by the police, is an initiative to bring the society closer to the police community. The winners are as follows:

    20th January - H2O Interschool Aquatic Championship

    Kenisha Gupta, student of Fazlani L'Academie Globale participated in the following Girls (Under 12 age group) events - 50 meters Freestyle, 50 meters Back Stroke and 100 meters Freestyle at the H2O Interschool Aquatic Championship (organized by the Rotaract Club of Lala Lajpat Rai College) and made our school proud by winning Gold medals in all the three events thereby attaining the Girls (Under 12) Championship.

    13th December - The History Fair

    Grade 6-8 students worked on creating a wide range of projects covering the themes of Prehistory & Human Civilization, Renaissance & Revolutions and 20th Century Modern World History to create Fazlani L'Academie Globale's inaugural History Fair.     27th November - Grade 8 students visit the INME Learning Campus in Yercaud

    Grade 8 students visited the INME Learning Campus in Yercaud (Tamil Nadu) from 27th November to 1st December. Students participated in a variety of attitude and team building activities that included a low ropes course, a high ropes course, a talent night and various other activities.     21st October - Melange

    3rd September - Hindi Elocution

    The Hindi Elocution was held as apart of Hindi Diwas celebrations on the 3rd September, wherein the children from the primary section recited poems on various themes in front of honorable judges and their classmates. Click here to see winners of the hindi elocution.

    26th August - FLAG student Misbah Sumar reached MSSA U-16 tournament final

    13th August - PYP Art Competition @ FLAG
