PYP Visual Arts

The main focus of visual art classes is to foster creativity and self discovery in order to develop student's ability to relate to aesthetics and to beauty.

Students learn elements of arts through different units of work. They are encouraged to use a variety of different materials and learn to explore art through past experiences and current reality.

PYP Visual Arts

Students from all grade levels are encouraged to explore and share interesting experiences both in class and out of class. Students take a nature walk visit, a nearby Museum, developing conversations, observing assumptions, asking questions, and looking at art works of different artists. These experiences help a child to develop his or her self expression. In addition, students develop awareness to their art works and the works of others. The art works of the students are displayed regularly and appreciated through discussion, thus strengthening the child's self-expression in a unique and varied way.

PYP Visual Arts

Students learn different artistic skills and concepts, based on the learner profile, through exploring a variety of techniques. One of the units is a collaborative unit driven by the whole art department (Drama and Music, as well as Art). These collaborative units focus on different ways of self expression.
